DCLXtra July 1: Gordon Webster and Friends

He’s back! Gordon Webster, one of the top jazz, swing, and blues bandleaders in the world is coming back to the D.C. region, and he’s bringing his friends with him! D.C. Lindy Exchange (DCLX for short), an organization dedicated to the art of swing music and dancing, is hosting a Saturday night swing dance at the historic Glen Echo Spanish Ballroom, July 1, 2017.

A free beginner swing lesson from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m is included with the cost of admission. If you already know the basics, join us for an intermediate lesson (cost: $5) to learn the famous Mama’s Stew line dance.

The main dance begins at 9 p.m. and runs until midnight. After midnight, we’ll hand things off to Capital Blues. They’ll slow down the tempo and turn the lights down low for some good old-fashioned blues dancing, with the same amazing band.

Main Dance: $20 ($15 with a valid student ID) | Intermediate Lesson: $5
