We are so excited to bring wonderful world-renowned instructors Anthony and Irina to DC.
Join us at Glen Echo Park for daytime classes and an evening dance to Chelsea Reed and the Fairweather Nine.
Class Details
There is no level testing for the advanced class, but we highly recommend you review the prerequisites before signing up for this class level.
Advanced level prerequisites:
- Have danced Lindy Hop for at least 2 years
- Have likely traveled to multiple workshops outside of the DC-area
- Have likely participated in a regular practice group, competed before, taken private lessons.

Newcomer Competition
There will also be a Mix & Match competition for Newcomer dancers. For the finals, the Newcomer dancers will be partnered with an Advanced dancer “Pro/Am” style. Free to enter, no partner needed!
Newcomer Definition: Someone who is new to competing (never competed or only a few times) and has been dancing for fewer than 3 years.
You are not eligible to compete as a Newcomer if:
- You have placed in a Lindy Hop/Swing Newcomer Competition before (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place).
- You have made finals in an Amateur, Open, or Advanced level competition (i.e., anything more advanced than “Newcomer/Novice” level).
- You are a long-time dancer who has never competed.
- You are a swing dance teacher.
