DATE: Saturday, October 16th, 2021 from 9pm-midnight

LOCATION: Bumper Car Pavilion @ Glen Echo Park (see on Google Maps)

DCLX is ecstatic to announce our first LIVE & IN-PERSON event of 2021 on Saturday, October 16th! We’ll be celebrating the release of the Scott Silbert Big Band’s debut album, “Jump Children,” and jamming to music all evening. The Scott Silbert Big Band is composed of the finest musicians in the DC area who will be playing a diverse repertoire of swing music by greats such as Duke Ellington, the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, Count Basie, and more. This event is outside with dancing in the Bumper Car Pavilion, is only open to **fully vaccinated** attendees, and everyone will be encouraged to wear masks. We will be checking your vaccine card at the door (a clear & legible picture is acceptable), but selling tickets in advance through our registration form.

When you check-in at the door you can ask for one of two wristbands: one which indicates that you only plan to interact with masked attendees, or one that indicates that you will interact with masked or un-masked attendees. There will also be a listening section for those not comfortable with dancing.

The event will be conducted according to Glen Echo, GEPPAC, CDC, and Montgomery County guidelines, so please keep an eye on Facebook for any changes between now and then. All ticket sales are final and the event will happen, rain or shine. We absolutely cannot wait to see all of our DCLX friends, and to celebrate the debut album, “Jump Children,” from the Scott Silbert Big Band!
